Autumn is just around the corner. And while the weather may or may not be cooling off just yet, there has been an undeniable change in the air. The world outside is starting to smell of earth and rain. Nature knows it is not summer any more.
Yesterday I planted my autumn garden under the waning gibbous moon. I’m not sure how you are supposed to plant by the moon, but couldn’t wait for the stars to align, or it would never happen.
Something about getting my hands in the earth is grounding and healing. As I step around my garden, I smell pine, rosemary, and dirt underfoot.
This autumn I am finding myself inspired by the inward focus that happens as the seasons turn. The slight change in weather has me self reflecting and resting a little more. Being pregnant also has me needing more time to put my feet up than I am used to. Since change is our only constant, I figure I might as well not fight it, and instead learn to go with the flow.
I am drawn to images that inspire adventure while taking it slow, last dips in the sea before the water gets too cold, and all things cozy. I am winding down and taking my time as I look forward to coming holidays.
In my upcoming collections, you can expect to see a shift from ocean inspiration to forest exploration with more Flora in the mix. Pieces like our Stag Horn Necklace, Manuka, and Bella Donna stand out.
And just because I know it’s not autumn everywhere in this big, wide world, I’ll still have our Seaside bangles. We have our classics and have even added in a few new ones, including O’Camiño and Kina, so keep a look out for those.
The warmer, more earthy tones of brass and yellow gold are taking center stage as we continue to work on new pieces and collection. So much to look forward to!
